Does rotating reduce quality?
Quarter turns saved as PNG are lossless. JPG and WebP are re-saved at high quality (92). Free angles add a slight softening from resampling, which is unavoidable in any editor.

Rotate by 90° steps or straighten by any angle. Free, no sign-up, and your image never leaves your device.
Rotating an image turns it around its center: a quarter turn fixes a photo that came out sideways, and a small angle of a degree or two straightens a tilted horizon or a crooked document. This tool does both. Quarter turns are exact — pixels are moved, not redrawn — and any other angle expands the canvas so no corner of your picture is cut off.
Choose a file, drop it on the box, or paste a screenshot.
Use Left or Right for 90° turns and 180° to flip it upside down. For a tilted photo, drag the angle slider a few degrees.
Any angle that is not a quarter turn leaves empty corners: keep them transparent (PNG) or fill them with white.
Quarter turns keep the original format; transparent corners are saved as PNG.
Phones store most photos in the sensor’s landscape orientation and add a note (the EXIF orientation tag) saying how to turn it for display. Some apps and websites ignore that note, so the photo shows sideways. Your browser respects the tag when it opens the file here, so what you see in the preview is the upright image — rotate it if it still looks wrong, and the downloaded file has the rotation built into the pixels, so it displays correctly everywhere.
A 90°, 180° or 270° turn moves every pixel to a new position without changing it, so there is no loss of sharpness and the width and height simply swap. Any other angle has to recalculate each pixel from its neighbors, which softens fine detail very slightly, and the image needs a larger rectangle to fit in — that is where the transparent or white corners come from.
After straightening a photo, you will usually want to crop off those corners in your photo app.

Straightened a photo of a menu, sign or poster? If any of the words need changing too, the editor can replace them in place. Imagelier erases the old words, rebuilds the background and sets the new text at the original size, weight and color — no Photoshop needed.

No. Rotating turns the image; flipping mirrors it. A rotated photo still reads correctly, while flipped text appears backwards. Use the flip tool for a mirror image.
Right turns the image clockwise by 90°, left turns it counter-clockwise. Positive slider values also rotate clockwise.
